DHONI DISCOVERS A NEW SHOT:
After the ad on the Helicopter shot fetched him millions, Dhoni has come up with a new Patented Shot. This is called the “RUDDER” shot.
It is played like this: Dhoni plonks his foot down the pitch with bat and pad close together even before the bowler gets into his delivery stride. Then he rotates the bat either ways to guide it behind the wicket, much like the RUDDER of a pedal boat.
Talking of Pedal boats, the rate at which Dhoni scores nowadays resembles the speed of a pedal boat as well, that too, going upstream. Misbah and Younis were pedaling away to glory too. But the boat was on land and just went nowhere.

Rameez Raja, the eternal optimist, always manages to find positives out of totally hopeless situations. When Pakistan was on the brink of losing, he came up with this, “At least, Pakistan gave a good fight on the field. They bowled well and…Wait for it…. Fielded EXCEPTIONALLY.”
God help Pakistan cricket if dropping 4-5 sitters is considered exceptional fielding.
After the match, Rameez came up with this inspiring about the Pakistani Cricket team, “Even though the people back home expected them to play well, they surprised everyone with a solid performance in this tournament.”

P.S: Great game on wednesday. India played like champions. Dhoni’s captaincy was excellent. Sachin, sehwag and raina did a good job with the bat. All bowlers were on-the-money. Can you imagine that! Fielding was exceptional too. Not the Rameez Raja-type “exceptional” but in the real sense.
