A few “Cricket-experts” are walking around claiming that Sachin Tendulkar is a selfish player who plays only for his personal records. We decided to catch up with one such “Expert”.
Q: Why do you claim that Sachin Tendulkar, who has contributed tirelessly to Indian Cricket for over 2 decades, is selfish?
A: Well! It’s plain for everyone to see. All he cares about is his own batting records. I mean. This guy has scored 47 ODI centuries and he has kept every single one of them to himself. He didn’t even help his dearest friend Vinod Kambli through his struggling career. He should have donated 5-6 of his centuries to Kambli and revived his friend’s career.
Q: And you have also claimed vociferously that Sachin wants to win this world cup all for himself…
A: Oh that! I have got some inside info that Sachin is getting a secret tunnel dug beneath the dressing room in Wankhede stadium. if and when India wins the World Cup, Sachin is planning to vanish with the cup through the tunnel.
Q: Incredible!! And just one last question. Can you define Cricket in your own words?
A: Yeah sure! It’s a game where there are 11 players in each side and they have to try and kick a big ball into the opposition team’s net.
Q: Thanks!! That explains a lot…
P.S : Dedicated to all the “WELL! Wishers” of Sachin.
I have a Question to you....
ReplyDeleteYou are talking about cricket....Similarly the scenario applies for all of us as well... You are employed in an organization. The organization is giving you salary and work based on your performance and not the company's performance always...If the company performance is not that good, but you have contributed atleast 70-80 percent of the growth....then the company will not sack you...They will always keep you and expect similar work from you...
If you get bonus, extra salary etc...you will not give some 30-40 percentage to your friend because he is not struggling for money...you will always think of buying property, investing the money somewhere rather than giving it to someone....very few people do that...
Sachin is bothered about this career as well as the team...In his early career, the team was depending only on him...If he gets out, thats it...In those cases, people expect him to be through out the innings...that what he did and these centuries came by his style of play to bat as much as he can....So he is still there in the team...He is also a human being and have to take care of himself than other members in the team...
I would say others have to learn from him on how to occupy the crease and play naturally...Everyone will get the reward then...
CENTURIES!!!.
The same applies to our work life as well...Do not ever think of others unless they are jobless. Take care of yourself first...Others wont care about you if you dont care yourselves....
Ok. Now I know I'm really bad at sarcasm :-D
